My blogging experience

Overall, I think it was a fun experience. The coolest thing was reading other people's blogs and commenting on it. In addition, the topics that were touched were interesting in each one that he read. I had never developed my writing skills in English. I think that with these activities I have been able to improve a little. At least in me I notice a little progress in this. Regarding to include something new, this blog format is very good. However, it would be fun to be able to share videos and songs or other things, like recommendations, etc. It would be a lot of fun to know the tastes of others in those areas. Regarding the things to write, I would have liked to speak about contingency, things of daily life, perhaps some things of our personal tastes or to comment on a specific topic. I think that talking about these things would generate small discussions and opinions in the comments. It would be funny. But overall, the topics covered were fun to develop and discuss. It is an ex

My favorite subject

I really liked studying in the hunter-gatherer subject. I think it is a subject that analyzes hunter-gatherer groups from physical anthropology, from social anthropology and from archeology. During the class, despite being online, interesting discussions and analyzes are formed about the hunter-gatherer lifestyles. Through PPT presentations, pictures, and other things. Despite being online and we do not take full advantage of the experience in this modality, I think it is very dynamic. What I remember most of having seen are the hunting modes, the gathering methods, the tools used by the hunter-gatherers, their ways of life, the distribution in the territory of the hunter-gatherers, the gender roles within the hunter-gatherer societies and the main rites along with their expressions. I think the most interesting thing about this subject is that despite being based on data and archaeological studies, it also has a lot of social analysis, where the relationships and social configuratio

My favorite photo

This photo I took it in San Fabián de Alico. In this photo you can see the native forest of the central mountain range. Despite being a bad photo, you can appreciate the surprising number of trees. the great thing is that it is a point in height where you can see a great panoramic.   This photo I took it in the summer of 2019. Despite being a place, I really want to go, I have few photos of it. I really like this photo because it reminds me of that place that I like. This place is very far from the house where we stay when we go to San Fabián and can only be reached by walking. I really like this walk. Then when I get to the place I can rest, reflect and even sleep regardless of the hour or anything. I am almost always accompanied, but the times I have gone alone it has been a great experience.

My favorite anthropology website

This website has a home section, which shows general content, a documentary section, a section for featured content, a section for calls to announce meetings, exhibitions, demonstrations, galleries or something else about anthropology and a section from festivals to massive anthropology events. To be honest, I have known this website for a very short time. I think about a month ago. However, it has very interesting and novel things to look at at leisure. Because of this, I see it very often since it has a lot of audiovisual content that is interesting, educational and contingent on what is happening in the world and that can be analyzed anthropologically. I have liked this site a lot as it has many videos, documentaries and small articles that deal with issues and problems of different cultures, of different tribes and peoples. These documentaries are mainly focused on American ethnic groups. On the other hand, it also shows themes from the Western world, although to a lesser extent.

My favourite piece of technology

The first ones I had, my mother gave me for a birthday when I was a child. I use these almost at all times of my day and every day because with them the music is heard much better. These I use when I am studying, when I read, when I wash and in short when I do almost all my daily activities except bathing because they cannot get wet. But using them so much they break, get lost or stolen very quickly. I like these very much, since the music is heard very well and I can take them everywhere I go. Without them, no activity would be the same since music motivates me a lot to do things and I feel that I am more inspired. They also isolate me from the rudios of the environment when I need to be very concentrated.

Why did I choose this career?

When I was a child, I don't remember ever having an interest or admiration for a profession. Although I did like to learn some things, but not at school. Later, I entered high school. I studied at an industrial technical high school, specializing in electricity, so I was very clear that I wanted to study electrical engineering. However, at the end of 2019 I got bored with electricity and felt that it was not my thing. Because of this, I was going to take a year off. Although I did the PSU in the same way. On the other hand, during the end of 2019, I remember reading a book on physical anthropology that I found very interesting. For this reason, this career caught my attention and I started to study it. Although now, I think I like social anthropology more. So far, I really like the race, especially the relationship between my teammates is very good. I hope to be able to finish my degree and work in Urban anthropology specifically in the study of social inequality.
